New Lebanese parliament speaker to be elected on Tuesday

The newly elected Lebanese parliament will hold its first session on Tuesday to elect a speaker and the council's presidium commission.
Following the convening of the parliament's first session, the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud will hold parliamentary consultations on forming the coming Lebanese government and appointing a new prime minister for its.
The Lebanese radio said on Sunday that President Lahoud received former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri in the framework of consultations he made to this effect.
