Mubarak confers with Annan

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Sunday met with the UN secretary general Kofi Annan who arrived in Sharm el Sheikh on Saturday to attend the meeting due to be held today ( Monday ) to defuse the crisis taking place in the Middle East region.
Talks dealt with current preparations to host the meeting which includes the US President Bill Clinton, President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, the Jordanian King Abdullah II, the UN secretary general Kofi Annan, the higher representative for the foreign policy at the European Union Javier Solana, besides Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak.
