Barak's attempts to form an emergency government
Israel-Palestine, Politics, 10/14/2000
Ihud Barak the Israeli prime minister is trying to get out from his crisis by forming a new government and he met today with the head of Likud party Ariel Sharon who demanded two conditions to participate in this government.
Barak is resuming his factional communications to form an emergency government in Israel in the shadow of the deterioration in the area as he received leaders who conditioned their consent to get into this government on the stoppage of the negotiation with the Palestinians for being not a qualified partner in the peace process.
Sharon made condition to get into this government which is implementing the continuation of the military strikes against the Palestinians and to stop the negotiations with them.
