Italy opens $ 4.5 mln credit line for Moroccan medium-sized enterprises

The Italian government has opened a 50 million Dirham-credit line ($ 4.5 mln) to contribute to finance investment project by Moroccan small and medium-sized enterprises.

An official at the Italian embassy in Morocco announced Thursday during a meeting between an Italian economic delegation and a group of Moroccan entrepreneurs that the credit line is available and its disbursement only awaits the appointment by Moroccan authorities of the bank that will receive the funds.

The Italian economic group who held meetings with Moroccan fish operators, and executive of fishing technologies at the ministry of sea fisheries said their trip to Morocco is only a first contact to prepare for a major Moroccan-Italian conference next November 27-28 in Morocco. The meeting will probe a precise partnership program with the private sector.
