Marrakesh to host Moroccan-US meeting on clean energy

The Moroccan department of industry, trade, energy and mining and the United States energy department will organize October 16-18 a meeting on clean-energy technologies.
The event to probe aspects of the topic "Clean energy technologies: availability and financing opportunities" is part of efforts to strengthen Moroccan-US partnership in the field of energy, a press-release here said.
This partnership was initiated in Tucson in 1999 by the first ministerial meeting on the promotion of bilateral cooperation on environment and investments in the power sector.
The Marrakesh meeting will be crowned by the signing of a convention on cooperation between the two countries in renewable energies.
