Some 120 Palestinians killed, 4354 wounded by Israel
With the failure of international efforts to halt Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and in breaking the military siege carried out by the Israeli forces around the occupied territories, violent confrontations continued on Wednesday between the Palestinian citizens and the Israeli soldiers for the 14th running day. The areas of the West Bank, the Gaza strip and the territories of 1948 have been effected by the violence.

Qaddafi held talks with King Fahd, crown prince Abdullah

A delegation of Yemen's parliament, led by the finance committee chairman, visits Morocco October 14-23, says a release from the House of Representatives. Cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies is being enhanced through actions like the MPs visit which will be the opportunity for the delegation to find out, first hand, how the Moroccan parliament works, how government action is checked and how draft bills are discussed. Saudi Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, chairman of Arab Gulf program for United Nations Development organization (AGFUND), is due to arrive in Sana'a on Friday where he is to take part in the ceremony of establishment of the "Bank of the Poor." The Bank which is to be established by aims at encouraging handicrafts as well as helping the poor to set up their own enterprises, the Yemeni news agency said. Go

The Moroccan trade and industry bank (BMCE) said its global resources went up by 20% up to last June to stand at $ 1.38 billion, despite an adverse economic juncture. The bank's net product also increased by 9% during the first half of this year compared to the corresponding period in 1999, the bank said, adding that it managed to control management fees. Go
