Rabat council disburses one million in assistance for Palestinians

The council of the Rabat-Sale-Zemmour-Zaer decided on Tuesday to disburse one million Dirhams ($ 90,000) to back the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation.

The council says the gesture is meant to help the Palestinians in their resistance against the fierce Israeli army aggressions.

On the morrow of the new outbreak of the violence in the occupied territories, King Mohammed VI had ordered to send an emergency relief medical assistance to Palestine. A plane carrying 12.3 tons of medical equipment and drugs, two tons of blankets and a medical team comprising two surgeons, three specialized doctors and six medicaids landed on Thursday at Gaza airport.

On Friday, Moroccans performed special prayers for the rest of the souls of the scores of Palestinian martyrs who died in the latest flare of violent acts by the Israeli army against helpless Palestinians.

On Sunday, a march, supported by all political parties, trade unions and non-governmental organizations, brought together hundreds of thousands of Moroccans who expressed their anger, deep sorrow and backing to the struggle for the liberation of Al-Quds and of all occupied Arab territories.

The Moroccan association of support to the Palestinian people struggle has asked Moroccans to donate a one-day salary to back Palestinians against the Israeli occupation.

While the Moroccan Red Crescent has donated two fully-equipped ambulances to the Palestinian peer.
