British foreign minister meets Barak and Arafat

British foreign minister Robin Cook who is currently visiting Israel and the Palestinian land convened with the Israeli prime minister Ihud Barak and the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.
Cook's tour comes in the course of international exerted efforts to end the disorders in the area.
Cook convened a meeting in Gaza with the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and said that there is real progress and our deep anxiety is toward what is happening in the Palestinian lands and we are trying to achieve progress toward the negotiation table for that the U.K is a friend of the peace process and "I came to prove our solidarity with the peace efforts."
Cook said that he will head to Egypt and Syria during his tour.
