Mubarak meets the British foreign minister

The Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met British foreign minister Robin Cook who arrived at Egypt today in a few hours visit in an attempt to lessen the current crisis in the Palestinian lands.

Cook also met the Egyptian foreign minister Amr Moussa. President Mubarak discussed yesterday during a phone call conversation the developments of the deteriorated stance in the Middle East with the Turkish President Ahmed Nagdat Sezar.

Mubarak also received a phone call from U.N secretary general Kofi Annan during which they reviewed the conditions in the area in view of the discussions which Annan held with the Israeli and the Palestinian leaders during his current visit to the area.

President Mubarak also received representative of the European Union for political and security affairs Javier Solana who depicted the meeting of being very good and that his visit to the area comes with an authorization from E.U to restore peace in the area.
