UAE flowers to Lebanon, Europe, Japan, Australia

The United Arab Emirates has started to export its flower production to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, Lebanon, Europe, Japan and Australia.
The flower production is from Sweihan farm in the middle of the desert which is 100 Km from Abu Dhabi and produces 18 kinds of flowers on an area of 4 hectares and including 8- flower green houses.
The UAE daily al-Itihad said that this project was carried out in the course of exchange system which provides for obligating companies which sell weapons to the UAE to invest part of its contracts in projects to versify national economy sources.
The average production of this flower project during the two past years was more than 6.150 million flowers annually.
