One child killed in Gaza, more wounded

The 13th day of the uprising in Palestine was characterized by notable increase in the Israeli violence against the Palestinian people. With direct backing from the Israeli forces, the Israeli settlers attacked the Arab houses in Hebron, Nablus, Gaza, in the territories of 1948 and in Jerusalem and in spite of all that the Palestinian confrontation and demonstrations continued strongly and more Palestinians were killed or wounded by the bullets of the Israeli forces.

Violent confrontation were recorded between the Palestinian demonstrators and the Israeli occupation forces resulted in killing child Sami Abu Jarar, who is nine years old after he was shot in his head. The demonstrations and confrontations extended to various areas in Gaza, Jerusalem and the cities of the West bank and the territories of 1948. Hundreds of Palestinians clashed with an Israeli military barrier at Raheel Dome at the northern entrance of Bethlehem.

News reports said the Israeli military helicopters interfered for the second time in bombarding the Palestinian houses in al-Khalil ( Hebron) following strong confrontation between the Palestinians and the Israeli settlers in the city after the armed settlers broke into several Arab houses and set fire to them.

News reports also remarked that the settlers and at a direct backing from the Israeli forces set fire to 20 Palestinian vehicles at Sofia crossing in Khan Younis and destroyed 70 Palestinian cars on the roads and crossing of Karni and Ereiz in Gaza. Confrontations took place between the palestinians and the settlers. A palestinian youth knifed one settler and he was arrested by the Israeli forces while another young Palestinians opened fire on another settler at al-Lid station and he fled.

Israeli settlers attacked Arab families in Beer Sheeba and wounded its inhabitants while the Israeli forces have arrested four of those Arabs.

In Gaza, the Israeli forces demolished a building near Natsareim settlement in fierce confrontation between the demonstrators and the israeli forces.

In al-Tibeh, Israeli-Palestinian demonstrators attacked the Israeli forces in the city by bottles and stones and Israeli on foot patrols at the cross road of Mjeido and Kfar Saba settlement.

News reports said groups of settlers backed by the Israeli police attacked Tima village and opened fire on the villages, set fire in several Palestinians business centers in Haifa, al-Nasera and Jesr al-Zarqa, while the Israeli forces carried out vast detention operations in the lines of the Arab citizens.

Meantime, Israeli military sources threatened to use tanks deployed in the cities of the west bank against the Palestinians if the uprising will not be stopped.

The Israeli acting foreign minister Shloumo Bin Ami and the minister of the Interior said that Barak's government will resort to new oppression means of confrontation of the Palestinians.

Israel's minister of tourism said that the police and the army were instructed to use all forms of power in oppressing the Palestinian demonstrations.

Sharon said that the Likud part will continue its backing to the government of Barak in confronting the Palestinians and that the Israeli army will not leave any positions it controls.
