Turkish preparations to open new border gate with Iraq

Turkey is making secret preparations to open a new border gate on the Iraqi- Turkish borders.
The Turkish daily Millet said on Tuesday that the new gate will be located between Khabour gate and the borders with Syria and will link Turkey to al-Turkman district in Iraq. Besides this gate will open a new road for the Turkish traffic heading for Baghdad.
The paper added that Turkey will install a passage to protect the region's security adjoining the borders at a length of 30 Kilometers and at the supervision of the Turkish army.
