Annan hopes to end the acts of violence wave

The Secretary General of the United Nations Kofi Annan said he hopes to end the wave of the Palestinian- Israeli violence.
Replying to questions put by journalists after his talks with Arafat in Gaza strip on Tuesday Annan said " if you are talking what is going on in my views, it is positive. I think we can control the situation. We have a window to achieve that but it will not be open for ever. I am optimistic over the possibility of achieving that."
Annan had proposed to the Palestinian sides proposals to put an end to confrontation in the occupied lands. He will give the same proposals to the Israelis.
