The Sudanese president and the reconciliation forum

Sudanese president Omar Hassan al-Bashir has stressed his government's care to convene the preliminary forum for reconciliation in Sudan at its set date on October 16 in Cairo and to avail full freedom and ensuring the right of self - expression for all participants in this forum.

During his meeting on Monday evening with the chairman of the preliminary forum for the reconciliation Abdul Rahman Sewar al-Zahab member of the forum Ahmad Abdul Halim that the government is committee to every thing approved by the participating political forces so as to achieve peace and reconciliation in the country.

For his part Sewar al-Zahab said in a statement issued by the Sudanese daily al-Sahafa on Tuesday " we have conveyed to the President ( al-Bashir) the consensus of the parties which form the forum's organizing committee on the date for convening and the call made by these parties to President al-Bashir to address the forum's opening and closing off sessions.

Sewar al-Zahab added that all preparations have been completed to convene the forum and that invitations were extended to all the Sudanese political forces inside and outside the country to take part in it so as to reach recommendations and discussions on all matters pertaining to the preliminary forum in Cairo and then the pan conference in which all Sudanese will agree on the need to settle all disputes, stressing the need to ensure full self-expression for every one.
