Israeli government exends time period for Palestinians to stop violence
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 10/10/2000

The Israeli cabinet decided in its urgent meeting last night on extending the deadline for Palestinians to stop violence acts, the period which ended yesterday evening. Yet an Israeli spokesman said that the government issued instructions to the army and to the police to act strongly in confronting the violence works.

Egyptian sources negated any preparation or determining the date of the four-way committee which will comprise the U.S president Clinton, the Israeli prime minister Ihud Barak, the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak and the Palestinian president Yasser Arafat.

The sources said there are great obstacles confronting convening the summit, referring to that Barak's refusal to attend the former four-way meeting had a large influence in delaying the four-way summit.
