Kurdistan, Turkish agreement to preserve sovereignty in North Iraq

The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Mesout al-Barazani has stressed in Ankara that it was agreed with the Turkish official to have joint cooperation in order to preserve the unity of territories in Northern Iraq.
Al-Barazani added in a press conference held following his meeting with the secretary general of the Turkish foreign ministry Farouk Oglo that the Kurdish issue should be settled in the framework of preserving the territories in northern Iraq.
On October 5, al-Barazani met in Ankara with the Turkish prime minister Polent Acawit and foreign ministry officials in the course of the visit he is carrying to Turkey.
