Al-Qaddafi and the Arab summit
Libya, Politics, 10/7/2000
Libyan President Muammar al-Qaddafi showed his rejection to convening an Arab summit that does not declare war against Israel or decide to boycott it economically.
Al-Qaddafi told journalists in Amman which he has been visiting since Wednesday that the summit should decide either war or economic boycott for the Israeli enemy, but the Arabs are unable to fight nor to boycott the Israeli enemy, economically.
Al-Qaddafi questioned what the summit will do, except condemnation and therefore there is no need for the Arabs to meet in a summit which is not able to maintain any reaction. " I defy the Arabs to declare war or boycotting," al-Qaddafi said.
