Egypt-USA, Economics, 10/6/2000

An Egyptian delegation comprising officials and businessmen will discuss in mid November with U.S officials arrangements for establishing the free trade zone between the two countries.

Some members of the US Senates sent a better to urge the U.S administration to enter into serious negotiations to sign the agreement for a free trade zone with Egypt.

Informed sources in the U.S chamber of commerce in Cairo confirmed that there is a wide U.S support to sign a free trade agreement between Egypt and U.S.A considering Egypt's vital and essential role in Middle East area and its significance in achieving economic stability.

The case of the free trade zone between the two countries was raised in different economic discussions that were held between the two sides last year yet some objections by the U.S side obstructed its implementation.
