British interest in the extensive railway projects in Libya

A British economic delegations currently visiting Tripoli held discussions with the high ranking officials for the establishing and managing of the railway station projects in Libya.

The new ambitious projects that comprise may stages and aim at linking cities of the Libyan north coast along nearly 2000 kilometers from Ras Gader on the western borders with Tunis to Mesaed on the eastern borders with Egypt as well as linking the coastal cities and the Libyan south.

This will pave the way to link the Arab Maghreb states and the African countries near Libya through a long network of the railway stations.

The first stage of the project which is under the construction links Ras Gadeer and Tripoli.

The discussions between the Libyan and the British sides tackled the joint investment horizons between two sides in the railways stations.

Libyan economic sources clarified that the current visit of the British economic delegation to Tripoli comes in the two sides' adherence on discovering horizons for joint investment in the different economic fields.
