Iraqi president criticizes Arafat and defends invading Kuwait
Palestine-Iraq, Politics, 10/5/2000
The Iraqi President Saddam Hussein said that his country's invasion of Kuwait was "a slap for an impious which he deserves."
He criticized the Arab leaders and accused them with languor before Israel and urged not to denounce Israel but to raise the sword, saying "if Iraq had borders with Israel it would have put an end for Zionism in a short time."
Saddam considered the demand to form an international committee to investigate in the Israeli massacre against the Palestinians as "an acceptance of an insult." He criticized Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and urged him to address a 'warning' to Israel.
