Protest demonstrations in Jordan for al-Aqsa massacre
Jordan-Palestine, Politics, 10/5/2000
Protest marches continued for the fifth successive day in Jordan to express solidarity with the Palestinian people in confronting the Israeli soldiers as 700 of the angry demonstrators tried to reach the Israeli embassy when they split from a speech festival in the union assembly that comprised more than 2,000 persons.
When the march arrived at the Israeli embassy, the anti riot forces interfered to separate the march.
Some participants retaliated by throwing stones at the anti riot forces as the friction lasted for an hour during which the demonstrators burnt an Israeli flag and repeated slogans to denounce the Arab rulers and accused them with treason.
