Moroccan Jew decries Israeli barbarism
Morocco-Palestine, Politics, 10/5/2000

Moroccan Jewish writer, Edmon Amrane Al-Maleh, on Tuesday decried the Israeli barbarism against the Palestinian people.

Al-Maleh said in an analysis published by Moroccan "Liberation" daily, he was "angry and furious" over the Israeli repression against the Palestinian people, describing the atrocities as "barbarous wrapping itself in democracy mask."

"I am angry and furious over the killing of a child, victim of this bloody repression perpetrated in all impunity by the Israeli government under the watchful eyes of the World," said Al-Maleh, author of "One thousand Years, One Day," which traces the repression policy that Israel has always adopted in the Middle-East..

"This is a blood bath that follows other bloodshed," said the writer.

The writer said he was particularly moved by the killing of the child, Mohamed Jamal Al-Dura, in his father's arms during the bloody repression committed by Israeli against unarmed Palestinians, who are defending the sanctity of Al-Quds (Jerusalem), Islam's first Kibla and Third holies shrine after Makkah and Madina in Saudi Arabia.
