Abdullah, al-Assad hold telephone talks

King Abdullah II of Jordan on Wednesday received a telephone call from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during which the two leaders discussed recent developments in the Palestinian lands in light of the provocative acts and Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people and its impact on the future conditions in the region.
A press statement released by the Jordanian royal court said that during the telephone talks, the two leaders discussed joint prospects for several issues of joint concern. They agreed to continue bilateral coordination and cooperation.
President al-Assad briefed King Abdullah with details of his talks with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak during his visit to Cairo on Monday.
