Moroccan NGOs secry Israeli aggression against Palestinian people
Morocco-Palestine, Politics, 10/4/2000

Moroccan non-governmental organizations decried the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, which claimed a high death toll.

The NGOs voiced full and unconditional backing to the Palestinians and renewed support to the Palestinian people's right to an independent state with Al-Quds Asharif (Jerusalem) as capital.

They urged all the world's forces hostile to racism and Zionism to put an end to the state terrorism practiced by Israel.

The Moroccan association for support to the Palestinian people will stage on Sunday a march to express backing with the Palestinian people against the atrocities of Israel.

The association said the march "will express the Moroccan people's solidarity for the brotherly people of Palestine and decry the massacres committed against it."

The march will start be held on Sunday morning.

On Monday, King Mohammed VI gave instructions to send emergency relief assistance to the Palestinian National Authority to help alleviate Palestinians' sufferings.

A release by the Royal office termed the Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people as "regrettable" and "unjustified."

"While renewing its denunciation of the acts, Morocco intends by this assistance, to back the legitimate action of the Palestinian people in its struggle for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with Al-Quds Asharif as capital," the release said.

King Mohammed VI is chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, an offshoot of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, striving for the defense of the Arab and Islamic identity of the holy city.
