Al-Aqsa uprising continues for the 6th running day

On Tuesday and for the 6th running day bloody confrontations continued in various parts of occupied Palestine and tens of Palestinians were killed or wounded by the bullets of the Israeli occupation army who used all types of weapons against the Palestinians and bombarded by its helicopters more civilian areas in Gaza.
Contacts were intensified on Tuesday at the international level as it is expected that meetings will be held today in Paris, to be attended by Arafat, Barak, the French President Jacques Chirac and the US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. News reports also said that Barak and Arafat will meet tomorrow ( Thursday) in Sharm al-Sheikh in the presence of the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, while the UN Security Council has resumed its discussions over the situation in the Palestinian territories.
Meantime, Palestinian sources said that the fire of the Israeli army near the Natsareim military base killed 4 citizens, near Gaza and that more 50 others were wounded.
The Palestinian sources also said that one Palestinian was killed on Tuesday while victims of the Israeli bullets in the confrontation took place in al-Khalil (Hebron) in the West bank increased to 20, two of them are seriously wounded.
Fierce confrontation and intensive fire was exchanged between the Israeli forces and members of the Palestinian police in several sites especially at the cross roads of Natsareim in Gaza strip and the surrounding area of prophet Yousef's tomb and the liaison office headquarters in Ramullah.
Fierce confrontation also erupted in al-Shallalah street in Hebron during which the Arab youths threw burning bottles on Israeli soldiers who are using live and rubber bullets and tear gas resulted, according to Palestinian sources, in wounding 8 Palestinian citizens.
Similar fierce confrontation took place in al-Nasera and near kafer Kana and Daboureyah, al- Ein area, al Auja crossing and near Rimond settlement.
At Natsareim crossroad Israeli sniping soldiers opened fire against a Palestinian youth under the pretext that he was trying to throw a cylinder gas on the Israeli soldiers in a building adjoining the Israeli position.
One Palestinian women (57) died on Tuesday after she had inhaled tear gases opened by the Israeli army to disperse the Palestinian demonstrators.
Also on Tuesday, two Israeli helicopters bombarded the Palestinian targets using machine-guns and rocket and hit one Palestinian building near Natsareim settlement.
Palestinian youths opened fires against an Israeli on foot patrol in Khan Younis in Gaza strip.
The Palestinian youths in Hebron threw stones at the Israeli military vehicles and confronted an Israeli military force while heading to Beit Hadassah settlement inside the city.
In the two cities of al-Teibah and al-Teira of the territories of 1948, the Palestinians blocked the entrances of the two cities by stones and the burned tires and prevented the Israeli army and police from entering and general strike was observed in all areas of the 1948.
In Um al-Fahem the Palestinian youths clashed with Israeli soldiers who opened fire and tear gas against the Arab demonstrators.
To this effect an Israeli military spokesman admitted that 93 policemen of the border guards were wounded in the recent incidents in the territories of 1948 alone, where some 7 Arabs were killed by the Israeli fires and one Israeli soldier was killed after he was wounded together with other four as they were exposed to fire in Beit Sahour area in the West bank.
Two Israeli soldiers were also wounded when Palestinians opened fire against a Palestinian military patrol near Ghoush Katif settlement in Gaza and the Israeli soldiers responded by opening fire.
