Britain regrets events in the West Bank, Gaza
Palestine-Israel-UK, Politics, 10/4/2000
Britain has expressed its regret over the events taking place in the Palestinian areas in the West Bank and the Gaza strip and called on all sides to resort to self control in order to end blood-shed.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the British foreign office secretary Robin Cook said that Britain is contacting the Palestinian and Israeli sides to end the wave of violence between the two sides.
Cook added he regrets the killing of Palestinian children and considers these news as very disturbing.
He continued that each of the current incidents reminds that there is an urgent need to settle main issues in the Middle East, where the train of peace should not leave its own way.
