Egypt hosts 6th Mediterranean partnership

Egypt is hosting this Oct.3-4 a forum of enterprises from European Union and south Mediterranean countries.
The encounter, part of a EU business cooperation program, is co-financed by the MEDA program.
This year's edition will receive 400 European enterprises and 150 firms from south Mediterranean countries, in addition to 350 Egyptian host companies.
A source close to the European commission explained that this type of encounters are meant to enable small and medium-sized enterprises to come together and discuss sustained industrial cooperation projects, in investments, technology and know-how transfer.
Partnership between the European Union and south Mediterranean countries was launched by the Barcelona conference. Its main financial tool is MEDA.
