Morocco sends emergency relief assistance to Palestinians
Morocco-Palestine, Politics, 10/3/2000

Morocco will send emergency humanitarian and medical assistance to help relieve the Palestinian people's sufferings followed the Israeli "unjustified" attacks.

A release by the Royal office said King Mohammed VI has issued instructions to send emergency assistance to Palestinians, terming the Israeli attacks against the Palestinian people as "regrettable" and "unjustified."

"While renewing its denunciation of the acts, Morocco intends by this assistance, to back the legitimate action of the Palestinian people in its struggle for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with Al-Quds Asharif as its capital," the release said.

King Mohammed VI chairs the Al-Quds Committee, an offshoot of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, striving for the defense of the Arab and Islamic identity of the holy city.

The Moroccan association for solidarity with the Palestinian people will stage on Sunday in Rabat a march to express solidarity with the Palestinians and decry the Israeli atrocities.
