Egyptian assistant foreign minister receives the Israeli ambassador in Cairo

Mahdi Fath Allah, the Egyptian assistant foreign minister for the European affairs, received yesterday Israel's ambassador in Cairo Zefi Mezeel.
The Israeli ambassador said after the meeting that he discussed with the Egyptian assistant foreign minister the events in the Palestinian lands and they exchanged points of view concerning it, alleging that Ariel Sharon's visit to al-Asqa mosque is not the reason behind the violence there.
The Israeli ambassador alleged that the crisis began two days before this visit when the Muslim prayers threw stones at Jews who were praying at the wailing wall.
