Opening an Iraqi opposition bureau in Terhan

Iran agreed on opening a bureau for the opposition Iraqi national conference in Tehran (Iran).

Washington will finance the conference and the Iraqi opposition in the framework of the pledge of president Clinton's administration to grant 4 million dollars by the end of the year to spend on the media and political activities of the conference.

Iranian oppositions sources in Iraq considered that Tehran's consent on hosting the bureau comes in the course of a U.S - Iranian rapprochement, referring to that there is a coordination between Washington and Tehran in support of the opposition.

While Kurdish sources assured that the fighters of the Kurdish labor party were evacuated from areas of the Kurdish national union as the renewed fighting was severe due to which nearly 50 persons from both sides were killed.
