Saudi cabinet denounces Israeli attacks against the Palestinians
Saudi Arabia-Palestine, Politics, 10/3/2000

Saudi Arabia has renewed its denunciation of the brutal Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian citizens in holy Jerusalem and the occupied Palestinian territories. Aggressions which resulted in killing tens and wounding hundreds of the Palestinians people.

A statement read by the Saudi minister of information Fuad Abdul Salaam al-Farisi following the meeting which was held in al-Riyadh chaired by King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz said that the grave development and the aggressions conducted by the Israelis in which all types of weapons were used against the unarmed Palestinian citizens are all part of Israel's continued violations to simplest international norms and principles and a defiance to the feelings of the Palestinian people and the Muslim world, besides being a violation to the principles of peace and international legitimacy resolutions which aim at establishing peace in the region.

The statement added that these Israeli practices indicate Israel's unwillingness to establish peace and to resorting to violence against unarmed people, and therefore challenging international norms and charters.

In its statement, the Saudi cabinet renewed its call on the international community to take necessary measures which guarantee the protection of the Palestinian people of acts of killing and expulsion and the holy sites in Jerusalem.
