Arafat discusses with King Abdullah developments in Palestinian areas

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat held talks today with King Abdullah II concerning the security deterioration in the Palestinian self - rule areas.
The visit was decided during a phone call between King Abdullah and the Palestinian president. This is Arafat's first visit to Jordan since the failure of Camp David discussions two months ago.
The two sides discussed the security deterioration in the Palestinian lands.
King Abdullah assured Jordan's support to the Palestinians in their crisis and renewed its refusal to provocation and warned of its risks on the peace tracks.
The Jordan king expressed his country's full readiness to present medical aid to the injuried and to treat them in Jordan's hospital, emphasizing that achieving a just and comprehensive peace which fulfills the legal rights of the Palestinian people especially their right on establishing the independent country with its capital Jerusalem - is the only way to stop the violence.
