Some 26 Palestinians killed in Palestinian- Israeli confrontations

The fourth day of confrontations in the West Bank, Gaza strip and the territories of 1948 resulted in killing 26 martyrs and wounding some 700 others.

A new development was also registered as the Israeli occupation forces launched missiles against two positions for the Palestinian government in Gaza strip.

News reports said that Ramullah hospital announced on Sunday the death of five Palestinians including a 10-year old child and two policemen during the confrontations took place on Sunday in al-Beera, al-Khalil, Nablus, Jenin, Ramullah, Rafah and Gaza and in the surroundings of the Israeli settlements..

News reports said that the Palestinian citizens started since the early hours of Sunday morning their demonstrations and attacks against the occupation positions and their patrols using stones and bottles, chanting national slogans stressing that they will not give up their national rights. The Israeli radio admitted that five Israeli soldiers were wounded in the confrontations and that the Israeli helicopters are flying in the airspace of the West bank to confront the Palestinian demonstrators.

The most violent confrontation in the west Bank took place in Nablus and Ramallah cities. In Nablus, the Israeli forces used the helicopters to shell the Palestinian security locations in addition to enhancing its military positions by using tanks and launched 22 missiles to which the Palestinian forces retaliated by firing automatic guns. The Israeli forces did not negate using the helicopters and said that they used them for the self - defense and to separate the demonstrators through the use of the tears gas bombs.

In the Palestinian territories of 1948 strong clashes erupted between the Arab citizens and the Israeli occupation forces while general strike prevailed in all the areas of 1948 in solidarity with the Palestinian territories.

In Um al-Fahm a new Palestinian was killed by the Israeli bullets ( Omar Jabbarin) 21). Similar confrontations were held between Arab citizens and the Israeli occupation forces in al-Nasera, kafer Kana town on Haifa- Shafa Amro road.

News reports also said that tens of Arab citizens were wounded during their confrontations of the occupation forces.
