Abdul Meguid confers with chairperson of Arab business women council

The secretary general of the Arab League (AL) Ismat Abdul Meguid on Sunday in Cairo discussed with the chairperson of the Arab business women council Sheikha Hessa Saad al-Abdullah al-Sabah the role played by the Arab businesswomen council in strengthening trade and economic cooperation among the Arab states and its role in supporting the greater Arab free trade area.
Following the meeting, Sheikha Hessa said she had reviewed with the AL chief the council plan for the coming period and the efforts exerted to revitalize the work of the council in the service of the Arab causes. She indicated that the council will take part in the meetings of the women and media summit due to be held at the AL headquarters in November.
Sheikha Hessa added the council achieved several achievements including by "the making of an Arab doll under the name of Layla for the Arab child." He said that Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz has allotted the necessary sum to manufacture this doll which will be in the market few months later from now.
