BSA hails progress made by Morocco in fighting hacking
Morocco, Business, 9/30/2000
Morocco has come a long way in fighting computer-hackers since the holding last year in Casablanca of a meeting on the issue, said Friday vice-president of the international association ''Business Software Alliance''(BSA) for North-Africa and the Middle-East Nasser Ali Khasawneh.
In a press-conference here on Moroccan new legislation on Copyright and software protection, Khasawneh said hacking has been downsized thanks to landmark decisions by Moroccan courts stringent deterrent measures enforced.
Conventions to enhance the fight against cyber-piracy were signed Friday by BSA and the Moroccan Copyright Bureau in a ceremony chaired by minister of culture and communication.
