Egypt and Tunisia sign 5 agreements in political, economic, commercial, artistic and cultural cooperation

Works of the 6th session of the joint Tunisian - Egyptian committee for the following up coordination and political consultation under the chairmanship of the Tunisian and the Egyptian foreign ministers were concluded yesterday in the Tunisian capital.

A report was made about the works of this session to be raised at the supreme Tunisian - Egyptian committee that will be convened in March under the chairmanship of Egyptian prime minister Atef Ebeid Tunisian counterpart Mohammed El Ganoush.

Egyptian foreign minister Amr Moussa, the head of the Egyptian delegation, and El Habib El Adeli, the Tunisian foreign minister, signed the report of the current session yesterday as well as 5 cooperation agreements between the two states in the political, economic, commercial, technical and cultural fields.

The two foreign minister held a joint press conference in which they tackled the committee's works, the bilateral relations, the future of the Egyptian - Tunisian cooperation in all fields and current issues in the Arab states.

Concerning the continuous sanctions on the Iraqi people, Moussa said "we have stated our stance more than once concerning this subject for we cannot accept the permanent sanctions against Iraq," the same thing confirmed by the Tunisian foreign minister.
