Jerusalem's condition deteriorated due to fighting

The Palestinians stayed in a general strike to protest the killing and the violence works which took place during the last 3 days.
On the other hand, Palestine urged the Arab states to convene an urgent Arab meeting to discuss the developments of the Palestinian positions.
The Palestinian President Yasser Arafat received many phone calls from some of the world's countries urging him on the self - control toward these events.
Nearly 18 Palestinians were killed in Jerusalem while 150 were injured during the clashes between the Israeli forces and the Palestinians and an Israeli soldier was killed after being shot in Kolkelia city in the West Bank.
Meantime, in the statement issued following its weekly meeting is last light in Ramallah, the Palestinian leadership assured that the Israeli forces whose numbers exceeded 3,000 soldiers shot fire from different weapons and amunition on the prayers without a prior notice and with no justification in an arranged attack.
