Benaissa meets German peer in Berlin
Morocco-Germany, Politics, 9/29/2000
Morocco's Foreign affairs and cooperation minister Mohamed Benaissa conferred in Berlin Thursday with German peer Joschka Fischer, in a side-meeting to the Berlin meeting on the Sahara issue.
Diplomatic sources says the two ministers brought up bilateral and Euro-Mediterranean cooperation as well as the visit of the head of German diplomacy to Morocco on October 5 and 6.
Both sides hailed existing cooperation and agreed on the necessity to enhance ties saying Fischer's visit to the Kingdom, the first since coming to power of the Social-Democrat-Ecologist coalition in 1998, will be the opportunity to raise cooperation to a higher level.
