Mofaz warned against the deterioration of conditions on the Lebanese borders

Israeli army chief of staff Shaoul Moufaz has warned that the deterioration of conditions on the borders with Lebanon will lead to a vast confrontation.

He added on Wednesday he hopes that the friction between the Israeli army forces and men " of the Hizbullah" and the Lebanese civilians in Shebaa farms will not be changed into vast confrontation in the region.

Moufaz announced that the leadership of the Israeli army in the North knows well how to deal with this situation. He continued: " we are making our efforts to that this friction will not be changed into a fire."

Moufaz's statements were made during a maneuver for the 7th contingent which is positioned on the northern borders.
