Moroccan - EU fishery dialog resumes in Brussels

Morocco and the European Union resumed Thursday in Brussels dialog on cooperation in the fishery sector. The two-day session will be followed October 2nd by a meeting in the European capital of EU Commissioner for agriculture and fisheries Franz Fischler and Spanish and Portuguese ministers in charge of fisheries. Fischler recently said resumption of dialog will be the opportunity to "better explain EU proposals on the new partnership" and hear Moroccan Views.
Morocco would not renew the fishing agreement with Brussels to promote its own sector crippling in the process 600 fishing boats, mainly Spanish and Portuguese.
