Morocco, Senegal want to foster cooperation in irrigation
Morocco-Senegal, Agriculture, 9/28/2000
Morocco and Senegal have devised an action plan to enhance cooperation in irrigation and hydro-agricultural development.
The plan was announced at a meeting held Wednesday in Rabat between Moroccan agriculture minister, Ismail Alaoui, and visiting Senegalese peer, Pape Diouf.
The plan seeks to make Senegal benefit from Morocco's experience in vegetal production, milk production, livestock breeding, animal health and scientific research and training.
Under the plan, cooperation will also be fostered in matters of bio-techniques and water management.
