Sudan: Torabi's son deny attempt to assassinate journalist Mohammed Taha
Sudan, Politics, 9/28/2000
Esam El-Torabi, son of Hasan al-Torabi, chief of the public national conference party negated having anything to do with the attempt to assassinate journalist Mohammed Taha Ahmed.
Esam said that he does not know exactly the time of the accident "yet it seems it was late at night at where I was in a German club with a friend of mine."
He said that what Mohammed Taha wrote concerning his father "opened the door for riots which I do not exclude to go far more than a deciplinary attempt," negating being summoned by any front and said that he does not expect anything as a result of this incident.
He threatened that he will take legal procedures against "those addressing accusations to me or to any member of my family."
