Iraqis demonstrate against the sanctions

Hundreds of Iraqis who are taking part at Babel 12th international Babel festival demonstrated on Wednesday in Baghdad in protest of the continued embargo imposed on Iraq since more than 10 years.
Members of the delegations who took part in the demonstration raised banners condemning the sanctions imposed on Iraq while in other banners was written "No for the siege."
At the end of the demonstration, the representatives of the delegations handed over the UNDP office in Baghdad a memorandum demanding halting the sufferings of the Iraqis to be conveyed to the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
