Moroccan judiciary delegation on study mission in Denmark
Morocco, Judicial, 9/27/2000

A delegation of the Moroccan penitentiary administration and the Human Rights Advisory Council has undertaken this September 15-23 a study mission to Denmark.

The Moroccan party met with Danish justice minister, Frank Jensen, mayor of Copenhagen, Jens Kramer Mikkelsen and general chief of the police, Hanne Beck Hansen, says a statement of the Moroccan embassy in Copenhagen.

The visit is part of efforts to learn about the experience of other countries regarding relations between authority and citizens.

Morocco presented two accord drafts dealing with assistance to imprisoned persons, transfer of convicts and cooperation in training and exchange of experience.

The Moroccan delegation also visited several prisons and a local TV station headed by a Moroccan national.
