Palestine-Israel, Politics, 9/26/2000

The Palestinian President Yaser Arafat and the Israeli Prime Minister Ihud Barak convened a summit meeting between them yesterday evening in an area near Tel Aviv for the first time since the failure of Camp David second summit in last July.

Before the begining of the meeting, Nabeel Shaath, minister of the Palestinian International cooperation and planning, said that "the meeting will tackle the peace process developments on the Palestinian track," asuring that the stances of the 2 sides concerning the causes of the negotiations did not change since the talks of Camp david II.

This comes in the time in which yaser Abd Raboh the Palestinian minister of culture and culture said that a Palestinian and Israeli delegations are to head within hours to Washington to hold bilateral talks with U.S support'.
