Sudanese President visits Asmara

Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir today visits Asmara where he will meet with Eritrea's President Asyas Afourki and will meet with the chairman of the Sudanese opposition coalition Muhammad Othman al-Meir Ghani.
Sudanese Republic Presidency minister Lt. Gen. Abdul Rahim Muhammad Hussein said in a statement to the Sudanese daily Akhbar al-Youm said that this visit falls in the course of the efforts exerted by the Sudanese government to achieve national reconciliation in Sudan on the one hand, and to develop bilateral relations between Sudan and Eritrea and to give them forward in the service of the two countries's interests, on the other hand.
