Morocco, Culture, 9/25/2000
The "Truth and justice forum"(TJF) has incepted "talks" to shed light on human rights abuse in Morocco in the last decades, the forum president Driss Benzekri said.
In a press conference in Rabat Saturday, he specified the talks cover the fate of missing people and handing back to families corpses of those officially dead, adding an agreement was reached on solemn recognition of responsibility by the state going further than the version agreed upon by the Consultative Council.
TFJ called family victims, survivors, media, NGOs, officials and the civil society at large to attend the event slated for Oct 7 in Tazmamart meant to denounce symbols and centers of arbitrary detention.
