King mohammed visits literacy class in mosque
Morocco, Education, 9/23/2000

Morocco's King Mohamed VI visited on Friday the "Assalam" mosque in the suburbs of Sale (Rabat twin city) to inquire about literacy classes hosted by the Mosque.

On September 15, classes of literacy, civil, religious and health courses were launched nationwide in mosques, in conformity with the sovereign's instructions contained in a speech marking the youth day and the king and people revolution day.

The king talked to instructors supervising the literacy operation and to men and women attending classes.

The ministry of Habous (islamic endowments) and Islamic affairs and the national education ministry have donated to people attending the courses schoolbags with all the needed stationery and books.
