Morocco, Science, 9/22/2000

A group of Moroccan engineers, economists, computer engineers, scientists, mathematicians, biologists and chemists, living in France, have started an association meant to be a bridge between them and the scientific community of their home country.

The association "knowledge and development" held its first meeting last week in Paris and announced its objectives as compiling a directory of all Moroccan executives, scientists and searchers living in France in order to intensify exchanges and partnership with the scientific community of their home country and collaborate in training and research projects.

Jamal Bouoyiour, the association chairman, explains that it will be endeavoring to supply to Moroccan scientists updated information and data, encourage partnership in international programs and take an active part in Moroccan training and research programs with the collaboration of enterprises.
