Lebanese author chairs Moroccan book prize jury

Lebanese author, Amin Maalouf, will chair the jury of the "Grand prix Atlas 2000" which rewards art books and photo albums, published by Moroccan publishing houses.
The annual prize is awarded by the French embassy in Morocco for best books in French published in Morocco. The jury comprises a journalist, a translator, a writer, a poet and university professors.
This year's edition will also include a prize for the best translation in French of a fiction or a short story. The awarding ceremony will take place in Rabat on September 30.
Amine Maalouf, holder of the prestigious French "Prix Goncourt" will also present on September 29 to the Moroccan public his latest book "Le Periple de Baldassare."
